Silent Nights

You hold my hand and take me to my room
The lights are dim and full of gloom
You tell me "father has guests"
So you sing me a lullaby to put me to rest
Then tie together my hands with a sheet
And tape together the soles of my feet
My fingers lash out like fish without water
The flesh on my neck is getting hotter
I cringe when my nails snag the cotton
Without fear I wonder, have they forgotten
